Workshops and classes are offered in my studio and are taught by different instructors. In my studio, you will find drawing casts, pigments, canvas rolls, and of course easels and benches.

I offer multiple lights with different temperatures and colors. 

In this three-week class, students will complete a portrait painting in oils under the guidance of instructor Mike Garcia. On the first day students will work on the transfer drawing, focusing on measurement, values, and basic facial proportions.

In the second session students will work on the color study and blocking in the color on their final painting (transferred from the drawing from the first session), exploring values, color theory, and their application to portrait painting. 

On the final day, students will model forms and refine their work to create a sense of light and depth.

Students will work alongside the instructor, painting the same pose from the live model each session.

Easels and taborets will be provided but bring your own easel/setup if preferred.
